It’s a bit of a challenge to find stress relief during the day when working in a congested, busy place such as New York City. Yet Bryant Park is an oasis of calm just a mi’s walk from the TUA office in midtown Manhattan.Especially with summer approaching, TUA staff will often take their lunch and for a brief time simply relax and lie on the sun-drenched great lawn behind the New York Public Library or sit in the shade and watch children enjoy a ride on the carousel.

The latest enjoyment is to take in a game of pétanque, a traditional French game using metal balls (similar to bocce). Mr. C. Spencer, Sales & Marketing Coordinator of TUA’s furnishings department, has taken up the game as a way to relax, get some fresh air and to clear his mind. He enjoys the game and the camaraderie surrounding the tradition, making friends with an unlikely group of men he otherwise wo’t have had a chance to have known but for their love of the game!

During winter months there is a free ice-skating rink and shopping kiosks at holiday time. All year round Bryant Park is a destination for local and visiting people!
