TSI is the Guardian of the Environment in the Seoul Forest Park

Pulling up weeds and planting trees
to take care of the Seoul Forest Park

TSI has been participating in monthly volunteer activities to take care of the Seoul Forest Park in the western end of the city.

The activity started in November 2006 under the slogan of “We are the guardians of the environment in the Seoul Forest Park.” Every month more than 20 staff members of TSI get together to plant trees, weed the woods, make wood chips and other activities in order to protect the environment of the Seoul Forest Park.

Thanks to our volunteer spirits and activities, Seoul Green Trust Foundation gave us a testimonial as gratitude as an excellent volunteering corporation. Also, we are trusted 330 square meters of land as our “TSI Sharing Forest” where we planted several kinds of trees.

Volunteer members say that they are proud of being involved in such activities as citizens of Seoul. They also realize how important the woods are as they directly feel ecological changes in the forest mainly due to global warming. Moreover, they learn about different types of trees in Korea through taking care of the forest.

The Seoul Forest Park consists of 118,800 square meters of ecological woods, and is a learning center to experience the real “nature”, than the parks such as Marsh Ecology.
