TTCE Factory Tour for Handicapped Children (10/29/2008)

On October 29, 2008, TTCE had another opportunity to prove our dedication to CSR principles. We welcomed a group of children aged 10-18 years with various types of handicaps, who were accompanied by their parents. After a short presentation and explanation of TTCE process and global business activities of Toray Industries, Inc., we spent more than one hour on a factory tour.

According to comments of participants and also an article published in the local newspaper, all children and their parents highly appreciated the opportunity to see the TTCE modern textile machinery, pleasant working conditions and good “5S”. Another nice surprise for all was the short, informal meeting and handshake with TTCE President, who was on his daily factory patrol at the same time. According to our guests, who have already visited several companies before TTCE, seeing the company president personally checking situation on the shopfloor is still not very common in Czech Republic. We think that such kind of activity can be interesting for all concerned. Therefore, we arranged a similar factory tour for another group of handicapped people on December 3, 2008.
