On November 22, 35 members of the Third Wednesday Club, the largest business community in Taiwan, visited the Tokyo Head Office. The Club is one of the most prestigious business communities in Taiwan. It was established in 1999 in order to promote exchanges with the business community in Japan. Since its establishment, members regularly visit major Japanese companies.
There are 49 companies registered with the Third Wednesday Club and more than 50% of Taiwan’s GDP is generated by member companies. The community was named since its meetings regularly take place on the third Wednesday of every month.
The meeting began with a welcome speech by Mr. M. Yoshikawa, Executive Vice President and Mr. Koo Jeffrey L.S., Chairman of Third Wednesday Club, expressing their gratitude at having been able to organize the visit. It provided executives of major Taiwanese companies with a great opportunity to improve their understanding of the Toray Group.
