2007 Toray Cup Shanghai International Marathon (Held On 11/25/2007)

The 2007 Toray Cup Shanghai International Marathon of which Toray is the special sponsor took place on November 25th in Shanghai. With the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games around the corner, more and more people in China are interested in marathons. Thanks to this increase in popularity, more than 19,000 runners participated in the 2007 Toray Cup Shanghai International Marathon and ran through the streets of Shanghai.

Interest within the Toray Group has also grown, and this year about 200 runners registered from group companies in China.

The Toray Cup Shanghai International Marathon consists of three types of race: a full marathon, a half marathon and a fun marathon (4.5 km). It was newsworthy as records were set in both the male and female categories for the full marathon, and therefore it got a lot of coverage not only in China but also in Japan.
