Executive Meeting between Chinese Governor and Mr. Sakakibara (Jun. 17, 2009)
On June 17, prior to the signing ceremony between Toray Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. and Sinopec Asset Management Corporation, an executive meeting between Mr. Hu Chunhua, governor of Hebei Province, China and Mr. Sadayuki Sakakibara, President, CEO and COO of Toray was held. The two top executives agreed to continue good relations between the two parties.
“Energy saving and emission reduction (pollutant discharge reduction)” are two key areas which the Chinese government is focusing on as national issues. Toray also expects further collaboration with Hebei Province in these fields. Mr. Hu, 46, is the center of attention as the youngest governor of the Chinese provinces.
