  1. Q1. What does your company do?
We produce polyester and cotton blended fiber. Our production site is located at Pandaan, in eastern Java.
  2. Q2. What does your department/section do and what work are you in charge of?
I am in charge of production control at the weaving department, which produces 7.5 million yards per month. My main job is the management of 600 weaving machines in order to maintain smooth and effective operations.
  3. Q3. What kind of job do you mainly put a lot of effort into?
The production plan. I have a weekly meeting with the sales team about the production plan for the upcoming three-month period.
  4. Q4. When do you feel rewarded at work?
I am much encouraged when my maintenance methods or education plans for operators turn out to be effective and other departments use them.
  5. Q5. What was your most impressive work?
In 2006, quality control indices deteriorated temporarily. I made a textbook detailing basic weaving processes and gave lectures to operators. I also gave them tests to check their understanding. As a result, we achieved a 40% reduction of defects.
  6. Q6. What is it that you put a lot of effort into in your personal life?
It is very important for me to be with my two children. When I go abroad for business, I always feel the importance of being able to speak a foreign language well. So, I think that it is important for my children to learn English and Japanese. After work, I enjoy reading English magazines with my family. On weekends, I play football at the football club in my neighborhood.
