- I am the Manager of the Research & Development Section belonging to the Technical Department. The R&D team is made up of 12 people. Our mission is to develop new specialized and profitable films to meet our customers’ present and future needs. For this, we benefit from a dedicated pilot plant to make all the necessary development trials.

- One of the R&D’s next challenges will be the development of new films for the next generation flexible food packaging. The final product will be compostable and partly issued made from renewable resources (compatibilised blends of cereal flour with thermoplastic polymers). This project will be held within a competitiveness cluster called Plastipolis with seven other industrial and academic partners. We have three years, starting from July 2008, to succeed.

- Q4. When do you feel rewarded at work?
- When my team succeeds in the development of challenging new products faster than our European competitors even if they can rely on bigger R&D teams and means than us.
-
- Q5. What was your most impressive work?
- Being the leader of an important project with 9 partners and to succeed in getting the signatures of all of them towards a common agreement concerning the issues of intellectual property and technical results disclosure.

- Q6. What is it that you put a lot of effort into in your personal life?
- I have played the piano since I was 6 years old and I like to play with other classical musicians. Playing Schumann trio n°3 in G min is a real pleasure.
