- Q1. What does your company do?
- My company runs business operations globally in wide-ranging fields of the chemical industry including fibers & textiles, plastics, composite materials, water treatment and IT-related products.
-
- Q2. What does your department/section do and what work are you in charge of?
- To play a central role in the project, as part of IT-2010, to promote the corporate brand extension, my department conducts a variety of communication activities for improving the image of Toray.
-
- Q3. What kind of job do you mainly put a lot of effort into?
- We are always aware of the gaps between what Toray wishes to look like and how the public recognizes it. To fill them in, we carry out our promotional activities.
-
- Q4. When do you feel rewarded at work?
- It’s not an exaggeration to say that the successful promotion of the corporate image of Toray depends almost entirely on how our advertising campaigns work. I’m under such pressure, but I always feel rewarded.
-
- Q5. What was your most impressive work?
- After transferred to work in the Advertising Department, I was told for the first time to get involved in the production of a TV commercial. When it was put on television, I couldn’t put my feelings into words. Furthermore, the compliments from various people within and outside the company who saw the commercial made me feel tears welling up.
-
- Q6. What is it that you put a lot of effort into in your personal life?
- I have a weakness for sweets. Whenever TV programs or magazines introduce any sweets I can’t ignore, I dash out to buy it. Thanks to eating too many sweets, I now have to worry about my sagging stomach. To overcome my physical laziness, I am currently considering whether or not I should make my debut as a surfer.
