Finding the personnel who will play an active role in Toray

  1. Q1. What was your most impressive work?
    It was when I worked in the personnel section as a new recruit at the Chiba Plant. There were many memorable encounters with various people and work places. This experience became the start that enabled me to continue my job with satisfaction in the field of personnel related work.
  2. Q2. Please describe about the office you are working at.
    Presently, I work at the Head Office in Tokyo, which is located in a very convenient location with a direct connection to the subway station and walking distance from Tokyo Station. I am on the 27th floor of the building, a high rise tower with a great view.
  3. Q3. What does your department/section do and what work are you in charge of?
    I work as a manager of Recruiting Sect. that hires new graduates and mid-career experienced professionals for Global Course Personnel, a carrier course that collectively recruits for all of the companies. I also recruit foreign students and Japanese university students studying abroad.
  4. Q4. What kind of job do you mainly put a lot of effort into?
    I put a lot of effort into communicating the attractiveness of Toray to as many job interviewees as possible and finding from them the personnel who will play an active role in Toray.
  5. Q5. When do you feel rewarded at work?
    I feel rewarded that my work involves recruiting personnel who will forge the future of Toray and that the team members work as one to engage in the work.
  6. Q6. What is it that you put a lot of effort into in your personal life?
    Normally on weekends, it has been a habit of mine to go to a public bathhouse and relax in a large bath. I also love to go to the games of Toray Arrows Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Teams to cheer for them. I love the way the young players earnestly aim to become No. 1 in Japan. They inspire me very much.
