1959 10 Production of Lumirror* polyester film began.
1958 4 Mishima plant completed, production of Tetoron* polyester fiber began.
1957 2 Licensing agreement signed with ICI of the U.K. for polyester production.
1956 7 Trilon Co. Ltd. established in Hong Kong.
4 Central Research Laboratories established.
1953 3 Started marketing Amilan* nylon resin.
1951 6 Licensing agreement signed with Du Pont of U.S. for nylon production.
4 Nagoya plant (lactam) and Aichi plant (nylon yarn) began production.
1941 5 Succeeded in synthesis and melt spinning of nylon 6.
1938 2 Seta plant completed (equipped with spindles for staple fiber spinning and staple fiber looms).
1927 8 Shiga plant completed and the spinning of rayon yarn was started at the plant.
1926 4 Approval for construction of Shiga plant obtained.
1 Toyo Rayon Co., Ltd., founded.
