WORLD ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS BUDAPEST 23 Men's 4x100m Relay

At the World Athletics Championships 2023 held in Budapest, Hungary, from August 18th through the 26th, Abdul Hakim Sani Brown competed on August 19th as the anchor runner (fourth leg) in the Men's 4x100m Relay final. Japan secured the fifth place with a time of 37.83 seconds.

In the qualifiers on August 25th, Sani Brown participated as the fourth leg runner. Japan smoothly passed the baton and secured a spot in the finals with a season-best time of 37.71 seconds, finishing third in their heat.

In the final, held on August 26th hopes were high for Japan to clinch a medal after two championships. Despite striving for the gold medal, a challenging baton pass was slightly mistimed and Japan finished in fifth place, falling short by 0.07 seconds behind Jamaica, which secured the third place. This result concluded the tournament for Japan.
