Polyester Films
With its superior properties of transparency and dimensional stability, and by utilizing uniquely Toray's polymer and surface-treatment technologies, Toray's polyester films Lumirror* and its processed products are widely used in flat panel displays whose demand is expanding.
Circuit Materials
Inside the LCD panels, various driver ICs are necessary to drive the panel. The driver ICs are connected to circuit substrates (bonding) where Toray Group's circuit materials are used. Toray's highly heat-resistant polyimide films are used as circuit materials and are mounted in the form of TAB and COF. Our mainstay adhesive tape for TAB enjoys 80% of the world share.
Paste Materials for Plasma Display Panels (PDP)
PDP emit light when barrier ribs colored with green, red, and blue phosphors are ultraviolet-excited. Toray is the exclusive supplier of photosensitive paste materials for PDP to Matsushita PDP Co. a joint venture with Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. The paste method is uniquely developed by Toray where curing reaction will occur to the paste materials when exposed to light. Toray photosensitive paste method in barrier ribs formation technologies actualizes high-resolution and high productivity.

LCD Color Filters
Color filters are necessary in displaying the LCD panels with colors. Based on its unique microfabrication technologies, Toray's color filters for trans-reflective LCD realizes good visibility for such use in medium or small size LCD panels especially for cellular phones.
