NT21 calls for reshaping our business mode from that of the "20th century manufacturer," one that merely produces and markets "goods," into that of a "21st century New Value Creator," which focuses on creating new value by weaving a wide array of expertise and know-how into these "goods," and developing new materials, products, and supply chains that will resolve the problems our clients face. Under NT-II, Toray will put even greater force behind its drive to transform itself into a New Value Creator. This transformation will generate greater profitability through the greater acceleration of the development of new materials, products, and supply chains that integrate research, technology, production, and marketing.
