TORAY PAN PACIFIC TENNIS IS HELD IN A NEW STAGE

Sony Ericsson WTA Tour has been proceeding the reform named "Roadmap 2010", for further growth of tennis as a world key sports. Under this movement, Toray PPO Tennis is to be held in September, week 38 of Tour Calendar, at Ariake Colosseum and Ariake Tennis Forest Park's Courts. Again you will see the exciting performances of world top players at the new stage.

Toray Pan Pacific Tennis will be the leading event in Asia, starting in Sep.
Following the US Open, tournaments are consecutively scheduled in Asia; Toray PPO Tennis, Beijing, Seoul, and Tokyo.This calendar facilitates players' traveling, and accordingly, world top players will participate in Toray PPO Tennis, the opening tournament in Asia, more than ever.

Change to outdoor, hard court
Tour tournaments in U.S.A. finishing up with US Open, and the following tournaments in Asia are held in hard court, outdoor. Players are able to adjust their conditions more easily under the less difference of the circumstance.

Toray Pan Pacific Tennis will be the key event for the closing season
After the completion of US Open, September is the last season for the year to determine the year-end champion.Our Tier I event is significant to require ranking points, especially for top players to be eligible for the year-end Championships.
