Film Products Development Center

The Film Products Development Center was spun off in January 2002 under supervision of the Technology Center to expand Toray's presence in the converted film field. This shifted the focus of film products development from basic technology to a more market-oriented approach, as evidenced in a new marketing group and other strategic steps. The ultimate goal is new product and market development to meet the ever-shifting needs of customers and the market in general.

The Center actively develops the following types of industry-leading film products.

Display film

Transparent conductivity film, backlighting-use light-resistant anti-reflective film, anti-reflective film, hard-coat film, etc.

Electronic component film

IC card film, flame retardant film, etc.

Packaging film

High-barrier transparent vapor deposition film

Capacitor film

Hybrid car vapor deposition film, heat/moisture resistant vapor deposition film
