Working to make more people familiar with Toray

  1. Q1. What was your most impressive work?
    It was the work related to our first participation in China Fashion Week (CFW) in 2010. To enhance the presence of the Toray brand in this event, where fashion culture interacts, we worked hard to be well prepared so as to be able to communicate the appeal of Toray to the visitors. We started planning for public relations activities a month prior to the event and worked late at night right before opening day putting clothes on the mannequins, making arrangements for handouts, etc. Through experiencing my first business trip and participating in public relations activities, I, as a new recruit, progressed significantly.
  2. Q2. What does your company do?
    The company was established in 2002 as a regional headquarters of Toray, which assumes the role of proactively promoting the development of Toray Group companies in China and the rolling out of Toray businesses in China.
  3. Q3. What does your department/section do and what work are you in charge of?
    The purpose of public relations and advertising work is, in simple words, to make more people familiar with Toray. I am responsible for communicating information regarding Toray via various ways such as websites and events in order to enhance name recognition. I also help out in the publication of 東麗人 (Dong Li Ren, a Chinese version of in-house newsletter) and by utilizing this, I am trying to build a platform that would enable information sharing and communication among the employees of Toray Group companies in China.
  4. Q4. What kind of job do you mainly put a lot of effort into?
    I put a lot of effort into interlocking business activities with our website. With the recent popularity of smart devices, the number of access to the Toray China website is approximately 35,000 per month. I am confident that it is a tool that can quickly and accurately deliver information to our customers.
  5. Q5. When do you feel rewarded at work?
    I feel pride in my work whenever I see Toray logos and visual advertising in magazines, on event boards, and websites.
  6. Q6. What is it that you put a lot of effort into in your personal life?
    It is my daughter who will soon be three years old. I work hard to spend as much time as possible with her. I enjoy seeing her learn new skills and coming up with new ideas in daily life. Also, I do yoga about three times a week to enhance my physical and mental strength. I relax my mind by meditating and doing yoga poses so that I can feel refreshed and be more lively to play with my daughter.
