Q1. What was your most impressive work?

My most impressive work was implementing an Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system for the Toray Plastics (China) Co., Ltd. (TPCH) group companies in mainland China and Hong Kong. Such a large scale system implementation involved a lot of users from different departments and discussion of business flow. All the team members worked hard, putting great effort into system design, sometimes working until midnight. Although it was difficult, we all felt satisfaction when the system was executed successfully.

Q2. What does your company do?

The main goal of TSCH is to serve Toray Group companies in southern China with a range of functions like general administration, human resources, accounting, finance and tax, logistics, systems engineering, and legal and compliance for their daily operational needs.

Q3. What does your department/section do and what work are you in charge of?

I work in the application section of the Systems Department. Our main functions are providing and maintaining the systems that support and enhance the operations for Toray Group companies in Hong Kong. We also propose new systems technology to improve our operations.

Q4. What kind of job do you mainly put a lot of effort into?

I gather user business requirements, perform analysis, and propose execution plans in order to transform system functions.

Q5. When do you feel rewarded at work?

I feel satisfied when we have designed a new system function or system work flow that improves operations, or when users gain benefits from applying them.

Q6. What is it that you put a lot of effort into in your personal life?

I enjoy driving very much and always drive to different places with my family during the weekends.
