Tokyo, Japan, May 17, 2023 – Toray Industries, Inc., announced today that it will launch the Torayvino™ Cassetty 310MX faucet-mounted water purifier in late May. It contains one cartridge. Pricing will be at the retailer’s discretion. It will be available from mass merchandisers, home centers, appliance stores, and other retailers around Japan.
This purifier is the first in the Torayvino™ model to employ an antibacterial resin lever for selecting filtered or tap water. The lever has passed the Japan Industrial Standard’s JIS Z 2801 test for antibacterial activity of plastics. An integrated design prevents water and contaminants from accumulating.
The tap water side offers such popular features as an easily removable and washable water outlet cap and ultra-fine shower head that cuts water consumption by 30% and reduces splashing. The replaceable cartridge balances performance, function, and price in removing 16 Japan Industrial Standard-defined impurities.

The new model is one fruit of Toray’s ongoing development of home water purifiers offering good taste and safety under the Torayvino™ brand, which it debuted in 1986.

The bottom of the tap water outlet is particularly vulnerable to stains from splashes when washing dishes. This easily removable and washable cap makes it easy to keep everything clean and looking great by eliminating the need to disconnect the purifier from the faucet.

Toray designed the mounting nut to cover the top of the purifier, to prevent water and contaminants from accumulating and keep the unit clean.

Cartridge replacement indicator dial
You can manually indicate cartridge replacements in semi-monthly increments according to purified water usage levels, helping to remember when to do these changes.

Tap water side features wider (see note 1), ultrafine shower (see note 2) that is eco-friendly
The 0.4mm-diameter ultra-fine and tap water shower provides convenience for use. It is gentle on the hands without compromising intensity and reduces splashing when washing dishes. The shower is also eco-friendly, effortlessly consuming 30% less water than previous Toray models.

Easily replaceable filter cartridge ensures water safety and taste
The granular activated carbon + ion exchanger and hollow fiber filter removes 16 Japan Industrial Standard-defined impurities. They include 2-methylisoborneol, a cause of mold odors, total trihalomethane, free residual chlorine and CAT pesticides 2-Chloro-4, 6-bis-ethylamino-1, and 3,5-triazine, and lead. The filter does this without removing beneficial minerals naturally present in Japanese water. The many applications for Torayvino™-filtered water include drinking, cooking rice, hot pots, coffee, somen noodles, and other dishes. This water is also safe for infants and pets. A “See-through Window" enables users to visually check the filter for contaminants. |
