Christmas of 2014 has been a very special one for Alcantara. In fact, on 9 December 2014, in our factory in Terni and more specifically inside felt warehouse, we had the pleasure to celebrate three important events of our company: 25 Years of Service in Alcantara, Scholarship for Academic Achievements, and Christmas Lunch.
The day started with a speech by our Chairman and CEO, who, together with our HR Manager and our Technical Manager, presented the results for the year 2014. At the end of the speech, 17 of our colleagues, who celebrated their 25th year of service in Alcantara this year, were presented certificates and gifts, thanking them for their work and loyalty to Alcantara.
This year, for the first time, Alcantara announced a "Scholarship for Academic Achievements" for the children of Alcantara employees from elementary, intermediate and upper intermediate schools on the basis of performance rankings. This time, 14 children received the scholarship.
The event-filled morning ended with the "Alcantara Christmas Lunch" for Alcantara factory workers and their families as well as some staff from its headquarters in Milan. Almost 400 people attended this year!!
The following day, on 10 December, Alcantara took part in the award ceremony held in Narni, where Terni Plant is located, for the Scholarship for Academic Achievements for upper intermediate school students financed by Alcantara. The scholarship was awarded to 10 students.
