TTS' Bangkok Factory, which is into its 48th year of operations, has been carrying out social contribution and friendship-building activities aimed at the neighboring communities in response to the rapid increase in houses in the vicinity.
On January 29, 2015, TTS invited 19 teachers from the Wat Lad Pla Kao Elementary School, situated near the factory, and gave them a factory overview and introduced the environmental measures and social contribution activities the factory has been implementing. In particular, we offered a tour of the cleaning facility for effluents and exhaust and the bio-fuel (coconut shell) boiler effective in reducing CO2 introduced last year so that they would be able to deepen their understanding of the factory's operation.
After the tour, we received a heart-warming comment from the principal of the school, who said that they would like to walk hand-in-hand with us in a brotherly manner. We would like to continue such activities and plan a factory tour and study class for the students.
