Global Recycled Standard (GRS), is an internationally recognized product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product, while ensuring strict production requirements. Before any GRS certification, the processes and distribution flows at each stage of its supply chain will need to be pre-certified.
Thanks to the closed collaboration and strong support of the Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Production, Sales/Logistics, Technical and Safety, Health and Environmental departments, PFR Fibre Division has succeeded in getting itself GRS accredited on the 27 April 2016. With this honour, PFR is certified as a sustainable green company which is committed to humane and ecological Product Safety, with sustainable production conditions for its polyester staple fibres of 50% and 100% recycled content using PET bottle chips produced from recycled PET bottles.
This GRS certification complements the other quality management systems already in place at the company's production facilities, namely the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14000 Environmental Management Systems and OEKO-TEX® certification.
