On January 15, 2018, TAK’s Gumi Plant located in Gumi, Republic of Korea, donated 10 million won to Gumi City.
The fund, to help underprivileged people in the community, has been collected at the end of every year for the past 15 years by placing a donation box in the plant’s canteen. “The donation activity, started voluntarily by our employees to inspire hope and courage in less fortunate people, has established itself as our corporate culture and we will continue with it to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities,” says Park Seo-jin, General Manager of Gumi Plant.
Gumi Mayor Nam Yoo-jin, TAK’s Park and Kwon Jae-kwan, Chairman of labor union, attended the handing over ceremony. TAK in November 2017 donated 50 million won for the earthquake that occurred in Pohang in the country, and it has also been continuing with the activity of sending Santa Claus to children’s homes. The company will continue to vigorously carry out these social contribution activities.
