On March 24, 2018, TPPT held a coral reef conservation project activity, for the first time, at Yao Beach in Sattahip Province, Thailand. A total of 24 staff members, consisting of four Japanese and 20 Thai people, joined the activity.

Many coral reefs in Thailand have been damaged due to the impact of global warming as well as the increasing number of tourists. The aim of our activity is to help restore coral reefs which play an essential role in everything from water filtration and fish reproduction to shoreline protection and erosion prevention.

We received great cooperation from officers of the Royal Thai Navy for the event. They guided and supported us to plant the coral and place the coral on the seabed which is home to fish, coral, sea urchin, seaweed, and many other living creatures as well as to restore the ecosystem of the sea. We first put coral branches into artificial reefs and then dived into the sea and placed the reefs on the seabed.

TPPT was established in 2013. The company holds activities that the employees and management can carry out together, enabling them to strengthen the bonds and to help the Japanese management to know more about Thailand. Meanwhile, these activities also benefit society.

We are very proud to be a part in helping and returning benefits to the society, and will strive to hold more activities in the future to continuously fulfill our social responsibility.
