From September 20 to 22, 2018, Toray Industries (China) Co., Ltd. (TCH) held the seventh CSMS, and 24 people from 15 Toray Group companies in China participated in it.
This seminar is held for senior managers in Toray Group companies in China to raise the level of local core human resources, who lead the business expansion in the country. On the first day, the participants went over Toray’s management philosophy, management issues and the business deployment in China, were introduced to the management of Toray Sakai Weaving & Dyeing (Nantong) Co., Ltd. (TSD) and its case of awareness revolution and had a plant tour of Toray Fibers (Nantong) Co., Ltd. (TFNL) and Toray Fibers & Textiles Research Laboratories (China) Co., Ltd. (TFRC). From the second day, the trainees participated in training aimed at fostering the management layer centered on strengthening of strategy formulation and decision making of the company from a viewpoint that is one notch higher than senior managers.
The trainees interacted enthusiastically in group discussions and the Q&A sessions during lectures. Although it was a short, three-day seminar, it was successful as the participants were also able to develop and strengthen personal relationships among themselves.
TCH will continue to enhance its initiatives in human resource development within the Toray Group in China.
