Environmental and Science Lectures at Schools around Japan from Hokkaido to Kyushu

Toray is conducting lectures in the science and environmental fields at schools in various parts of Japan again in the current fiscal year as part of social contribution activities.

On August 30, 2018, Shusaku Takeda, Senior Staff of the Chugoku & Shikoku Branch taught a program titled “Advanced Materials and Global Environmental Issues” as part of the International Science Camp of Okayama University of Science High School. The first and second graders of the high school as well as high school students and science teachers from Thailand attended the program and the students listened earnestly to Takeda’s class, which also used some slides with explanations in Thai.

In addition, Toray employees engaged in various types of job such as sales, engineering and research took lectures at schools from Hokkaido in the north and Kyushu in the south by the end of October, and these classes are introduced below with pictures.
