In support of the overseas internship program of Toyohashi University of Technology, a Japanese national engineering university, Toray Group companies in Malaysia hosted three (two Japanese and one Malaysian) fourth-year students from the departments of Environmental and Life Sciences, Electrical and Electronic Information Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering for about seven weeks on-the job training.
The students made their final presentations on the last day of the internship on February 22, 2019. During the lively Q&A session after the presentation, the Toray Group employees asked various questions to the interns regarding their respective projects such as the cost control and the challenges if the ideas are actually implemented they face. We hope the interns were able to learn about the points they should focus on upon carrying out development in a company.
This internship program was started in 2014 and we intend to continue with it in the future.
