The PokOi x Old Master Q Hong Kong Charity Run 2019 was held in Tamar Park, Hong Kong, on April 14, 2019 to raise funds for the construction of Pok Oi Hospital’s large-scale residential care home for the elderly in Hong Kong. This year, the charity run also featured Hong Kong’s Old Master Q comic, which is a very popular comic across Asia that first appeared in 1962 in Hong Kong.
Staff members of Toray Group companies in Hong Kong and their families participated in the three-kilometer run for individuals and the one-kilometer fun run for families. Despite the weather report for the day forecasting clouds and rains, thousands of runners gathered on time for the run. Everyone wore the specially designed Old Master Q T-shirt and participated in a very cheerful atmosphere. After the run, we headed over to the “Healthy Living Carnival” in Tamar Park with local vintage food, free Chinese medicine consultation and exhibitions, information sharing sessions on healthcare service, performances and game booths.
We really enjoyed a meaningful and heathy morning with our colleagues and families, and we were so thankful that there was no rain until the event finished.
