TFRC Chairman Atsushi Kuwabara received the 2018 Excellent Friend of Labor Union Award from the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Zone in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, where the company is located.
This award is given to people in top management who are enthusiastic in their support to labor union[1] activities, and Kuwabara was one of the 10 top managers selected from about 2,000 companies located in the zone and the only foreign recipient.
Ever since he took office at TFRC in 2017, Kuwabara has developed a positive workplace through distribution of mementos to employees at every Chinese traditional events such as Chinese New Year, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival, strengthening of interactions within workplace, visit to high-temperature workplace manufacturing trial products, establishment of an autonomous body for dormitory, support for new hires and CSR activities and proactively worked to build a favorable labor-management relationship.
The commendation ceremony was held on May 20, 2019. Kuwabara expressed his joy for the recognition of his activities since the appointment which had resulted in the award.
