TPPZ held the company sports day at the company gym cosponsored by the labor union and the General Affairs Department on July 27, 2019.
A total of 560 people including about 400 employees and their family members as well as participants from two subcontractors took part in the event. Given the conditions, we were anticipating some participants to feel unwell due to the heat, so we prepared drinking water and large chunks of ice to lower the temperature inside the gym and prevent heatstroke. We also had a doctor on standby during the event.
In addition to badminton, table tennis and rope skipping games where workplace-based teams contested against each other, we also held quoits, miniature golf and other games in which families could participate. The final event was a tug-of-war fought between workplaces. The participants played the matches spiritedly while the audience cheered them on excitedly, and at the end they praised each other’s good performances at the commendation ceremony, having spent a fun day forgetting the fierce heat.
The sports day was broadcasted in Torch News by Zhongshan Torch Development Zone TV as a lively employee activity in the Zhongshan Torch Development Zone, Guangdong Province, where TPPZ is located. We will continue to create an open workplace through various bright, fun, and cheerful activities.
