On January 21, 2020, TAK donated 300 blood donation certificates collected from its employees who had participated in the company-wide blood donation campaign held in the past one-year period to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
Blood donation certificates are unique to Republic of Korea, where a person who had donated blood can receive blood for free if he or she requires blood due to an accident or illness by presenting this certificate. This blood donation certificates can be transferred to others or donated and following 2018, this is the second time TAK is donating the certificates to the Foundation.
Employees who participated in the blood donation campaign said that it was profoundly meaningful being able to support others by saving lives through the act of blood donation. “We hope that the small interest in blood donation of employees will help the children fighting the scourge of cancer. Amid worsening crisis of blood shortage, we hope this would be of some help” said Kim Eun-joo, managing director in charge of public relations education（as of January 21，2020）who participated in the event.
TAK carries out blood donation campaigns every year with the participation of all its employees. TAK plans to carry out various activities besides this that would be of support to the local community.
