TMS takes pride in being certified as a Penang Green Office by the Penang Green Council (PGC Strategies Sdn. Bhd.) for another two years, following our initial recognition in year 2017. The certificate was presented by the Penang Chief Minister and Penang Green Council Chairman Mr. Chow Kon Yeow to TMS Managing Director Peter Chan Kien Wah during the Green Pinang Awards Gala 2019 held on 21 November 2019.
The Penang Green Council is a non-profit organization established by the Penang State Government to nurture, facilitate and coordinate environmental causes in Penang, Malaysia. It grants Penang Green Office certifications based on assessment of sustainability principles and practices of companies that contribute to environmental conservation and protection.
In TMS, we continuously carry out activities that are environmentally-friendly, such as being a paperless office, green disposal of electronic products, office temperature control, smart lighting, energy savings, quarterly collection of items for recycling, tree planting, no single-use plastics, green procurement, etc. We are proud that our hard work has paid off and TMS will continue its “Go Green” efforts, not only for cost savings but most importantly, to contribute towards a cleaner and greener environment for our future generations.
