In winter 2020, CMA participated in CSR activities. It had been a trying year for many families and we wanted to focus on giving local children the best holiday season possible!

Tacoma head office and plant, located in Washington, held their annual Giving Tree campaign where holiday trees were set up in breakrooms, decorated with “needs and wants” tags from the local school district. In total, employees and CMA were able to provide 254 gifts for 57 children. Employees were also able to choose between four pre-set bags, ranging from 10–50 dollars; in total 35 bags were purchased for a donation of over 800 dollar worth of food and essential items going to the nation’s largest charitable organization, United Way.

Decatur Plant in Alabama partnered with Families and Children Experiencing Separation (FACES) to support eight children for the Christmas Holiday Wish program. General Affairs Team made wish ornaments for each item for employees to choose from. On December 15, employees delivered 152 gifts including toys and clothing head to toe to the sponsored children. During this time, Decatur Plant also partnered with United Way where employees generously donated a total of 18,268.52 dollars! Employees chose where their donation went between United Way programs and partner agencies, all serving local communities. In addition, employees purchased United Way fundraising T-shirts from which 391 dollars of proceeds were donated.

CMA also held their first fundraising calendar for 2021. Employees purchased 143 calendars, with some gifting additional donations on top of the calendar's base price. All proceeds went to United Way of Pierce County (in Washington), United Way of Morgan County (in Alabama), St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (in Tennessee), and the Humane Society of the United States (in Washington DC).

CMA is pleased to give back to its local communities and looks forward to future opportunities.
