Park Seo-jin, vice president of TAK’s SB Business Division, was selected by the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea as a meritorious person for his contribution to the response to COVID-19 and received the Prime Minister’s Commendation at the 49th Health Day ceremony held at the Government Sejong Convention Center on April 13, 2021.

The ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare to promote social interest in health care by rewarding and encouraging people who contributed to the development of healthcare and the promotion of public health in commemoration of Health Day.

When there was a mask shortage due to the spread of COVID-19, Park as the head of the SB Business Division swiftly responded by converting the production facilities for spunbond nonwoven fabric for diapers to produce nonwoven fabric for mask filters. This enabled early supply of meltblown filter nonwoven fabric, which in turn stabilized the supply of mask materials and contributed to high ratings of K-quarantine, the unique COVID-19 countermeasure of the Republic of Korea, resulting in his selection as a meritorious person.

"It was a good opportunity to realize corporate social responsibility by contributing to public safety and hygiene as a material company, and we will make efforts to contribute to the development of the nation's industries through continuous investments," Park said.
