DELTA made a donation to a project to introduce special vehicles for persons with physical disabilities by Italian Red Cross of Lucca, Tuscany, where the company is located. A ceremony to introduce the vehicle was held in Lucca on October 9, 2022, which was attended by President Masayuki Sudo.
The Red Cross of Lucca presented a certificate of gratitude to DELTA for its donation at the ceremony, held in a lively venue featuring events and displays introducing their social contribution activities. The special vehicle can carry a person in wheelchair in its rear space. While several companies including DELTA donated funds for introducing the vehicle, the vehicle was emblazoned with the DELTA logo in recognition of the annual donations made by DELTA to the Red Cross of Lucca.
After joining the Toray Group in 2015, DELTA has been working on business expansion of prepreg for high-end automotive and industrial applications as its mainstay product. At the same time, it is also engaged in realization of a sustainable business model. The company will continue to fulfill its responsibility as a member of local community in addition to social contributions as a materials manufacturer.
