Four Toray Group companies in Mexico, namely, Toray Advanced Textile Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (TAMX), Toray Resin Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (TRMX), Zoltek de Mexico S.A. de C.V. (ZMX), and Toray International de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (TIMX), on August 31, 2022, donated funds to the Japanese School of Guadalajara again this year to support the operation of the school.

The Japanese School of Guadalajara is a semi full-time school and provides education in accordance with the Japanese curriculum to Japanese children in the region. There are currently five children of Japanese staff at Toray Group of companies in Mexico enrolled at the school.

On November 6, the school held a sports day inviting guests for the first time in three years, taking precautions against the spreading of COVID-19. It was a sunny autumn day, and a total of 100 people including guests, students and their parents participated in the sports day, making it a cheerful event. From Toray Group, Kiyoshi Akazawa, Chief Representative for Mexico, Toray Industries, Inc., attended as a guest and a total of 14 children and their family members participated in the event, and we were happy to see the children running around and having fun in the field. The guests and parents also participated in competitions, enlivening the sports day.

As companies rooted in Guadalajara, the Toray Group companies in Mexico will continue to contribute to the society.
