Toray Advanced Materials Research Laboratories (China) Co., Ltd. (TARC)
TARC won two awards from Zizhu High-Tech Park (National High-Tech Industrial Development Park) in Shanghai, where TARC is located, in the categories of 20th Anniversary First Company Award and the 2022 Best Member Award. TARC Chairman Yoshio Himeshima attended the award ceremony held on January 6, 2023.
The First Company Award recognizes the first companies to implement something in 10 fields from the 6,119 companies in the park to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the park’s establishment. TARC was awarded for being the first company to purchase land-use rights in the park.
The Best Member Award is presented to companies that significantly contributed to the various community activities aimed at revitalization of the district. Only six companies are selected for the award each year. TARC’s active participation in various activities such as providing congratulatory messages from Himeshima and contributing articles on its R&D activities for the commemorative magazine and video for the 20th anniversary of the Zizhu High-Tech Park as well as its stable operations even in the midst of COVID-19 were recognized. Winning the award also served to generate publicity for Toray Industries, Inc. as well as Toray Group.
TARC will continue to contribute to the Toray Group’s business development in China and development of the local community. |
