Toray Industries (America), Inc. (TAM)
Toray Fluorofibers (America), Inc. (TFA)
Toray Composite Materials America, Inc. (CMA)

TFA and CMA, located in Decatur, Alabama, participated in the Barrels of Love, an industry-wide food drive in Alabama. Wendy Taylor from TAM, who started this food drive 11 years ago when she used to work for TFA, also participated in the campaign.

The collected food will be used to stock two local food pantries, the Salvation Army of Decatur and the Committee on Church Cooperation, a nonprofit organization providing support and assistance to people in need. In addition, some of the food will be used for the Backpack Food Program for the schools in Decatur and Morgan County to ensure that children get enough food during the week of spring break in early April.

The Barrels of Love annually kicks off on Valentine’s Day (February 14), and Collection Day is the first Friday in March. This year again, we were able to collect a large amount of non-perishable food items, to name a few, soups, pasta, potted meats and oatmeal.

We are happy to serve our local community and we will continue to participate in this kind of campaign.
