On February 17, 2023, TAK donated braille cube sets, hand-made by its employees, to Changemaker, a social welfare organization in Seoul, Republic of Korea, with which TAK has a long relationship. The braille cube sets are expected to help in the education of visually impaired children.

The braille cubes are teaching tools that allow visually impaired children to learn difficult braille characters in an easy and fun way. They are also convenient to carry enabling children to be in contact with braille anytime and anywhere. The braille cubes can also be used by those with acquired vision impairment to learn braille easily, thus helping to reduce the braille non-literacy rate.

One of the employees who participated in the volunteer activity to make the braille cubes said, “We were able to understand more about visually challenged people by making the cubes with family and colleagues. It was profoundly meaningful to have spent time to be of help to them.”

TAK carries out volunteer activities every year for the visually impaired such as producing books for playing with braille and preparing braille posters, and will continue with this warm and caring practice.
